(left)  The nursing team members were responsible to screen all applicants so that they could be routed to the appropriate physicians or the pharmacy.  The Filipino nurses (sorry, names unknown) obviously had no language barriers.

(center-l)  American team members related as much as the locals knew English. Diana was quite adept at picking up some of the language(s) spoken there.

(center-r & right)  Without the Filipino team members who translated for the Americans, there would have been no way to see the 1,400 (in 2 days!) townsfolk who sought medical help. Several locals travelled more than 60km to attend this event.

Upon the team's arrival on the first day, a system for seeing so many had to be set up on the spot.  The Governor had supplied a public address system, and furniture was taken from some of the government offices around the open square to be utilized as work stations.  No matter how often the people were reminded to give some space to the nurses, they crowded in to satisfy their curiosity.  The pressing crowd cut off whatever respite could be had by a gentle breeze, and as hot and humid as it was, the nurses and helpers had an exhausting day.

A team meeting at the end of the first day offered the team an opportunity to pool ideas for a more organized and smooth-running effort. The team saw about 400 people on the first day, but over 900 on the second day!

Dr. "Andy" (name changed for security) is an amazing servant of God.  He has heeded the call of the Lord to give 90% of his medical practice to people who cannot afford medical help.  Dr. "Andy" has enormous influence there, yet he and his wife, "Ann" (not real name, not pictured) are some of the most humble, precious folks one could ever be blessed to know.
